Williamsburg Campus Child Care

Williamsburg Campus Child Care (WCCC) is an independent 501(c)(3) organization, providing day care and early childhood education to Williamsburg families. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children and to support families in their child-rearing journey.

OUR APPROACH

Guiding Children's Growth and Development

At WCCC, we believe that children learn best through play and exploration. We provide a wide range of developmentally appropriate activities and experiences in a supportive environment to allow children to develop in their own way.

OUR STAFF

Tenured Educators & Administrators

Our team of experienced and caring professionals is dedicated to fostering the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of every child. Eleven staff members have served WCCC for more than five years, and the longest serving teacher has been employed at WCCC since 1992.

OUR LOCATION

The Sarah Ives Gore Child Care Center

WCCC has been housed in the Sarah Ives Gore Child Care Center on the campus of the College of William & Mary since 1981. This idyllic setting in the heart of downtown Williamsburg, Virginia, provides opportunities for classroom excursions around campus and historic Colonial Williamsburg.

NUTRITION

Meals and Snacks Provided

At WCCC, we know that nutrition provides a vital and healthy start for our students. Included as part of our program, lunch and two snacks are carefully planned and prepared fresh on site by William & Mary Dining Services.

AFFILIATIONS

William & Mary Connections

Through fostering and maintaining continuing relationships with the College of William & Mary, the child care program is enriched by the intellectual, creative, and physical resources of the College.

Families are not required to be part of the William & Mary community to apply for care.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Involved Parents & Families

Parents are vital to the success of our program! We ask for volunteers throughout the year to assist with school events, fundraisers, and other center needs.

We also rely on parent volunteers, as well as several university representatives, to serve on our Board of Directors.

FUNDING & SUPPORT

Advancement Committee

As an independent 501(c)(3) organization, Williamsburg Campus Child Care is able to grow and thrive through the support of our Advancement Committee's fundraising efforts.
